A Late Fall Project

 

 

This is the hat Vivian requested. It's done in a gorgeous merino/silk I bought at The Fold in Marengo IL. (definitely a must stop shop if you are up that way)

 

All those cables were fun to work. Though in the future I may think twice about patterns that call for cabling while working on double pointed needles. The last dozen rows were a bit of a juggling act.

 

The fit is more watch cap than cloche, and I've begun plotting how to modify the pattern to create more of a feminine brim while keeping the striking horizontal knot work.
